Every November, the City of Sin gets packed to the teeth with custom cars and trucks from around the country during the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association show, also known as SEMA by those who love four-letter words. The show is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, located next to the Hilton, and, just like the Paris Hilton video, promises to keep you entertained for about a week.

The vast displays fill up more than 2-million-plus square feet with the help of 1,800 exhibitors showcasing everything from new products to fully custom preproduction trucks that have been cut up by some of the most reputable shops around the country. If it's the factory look you're after, each of the Big Three bring out their new models as well as some concepts to tease you even further.

Ford F-150s, Hummer H2s, and Nissan Titans were the dominant truck force this year; however, several of the Chevy Colorados, the S-10 replacement, were on hand as well. One thing that could not be ignored in the sea of 1,000 display vehicles was the amount of lifted trucks that not only filled the convention halls, but also took over the outside show area. Everything from mild 7-inch lifts to 13-inch-plus lifts were bolted on to just about any truck imaginable.

Inside the wheel and tire hall - known to most of the 100,000 attendees as the T&A hall because of the amount of booth babes - Kumho tires had its exclusive 28-inch tires mounted on Lexani Maximus wheels, which drew continuous crowds. Other manufacturers, such as Bazo, rolled out their 28-inch wheel lines to complement the huge Kumho rubber.

Both of the Sport Truck project vehicles, the Comp Cruizer and the 535ci Hemi Ram, were on hand for the crowd of more than 100,000 to check out. The Comp Cruizer sports Auto Air's new water-based paint pigments, and the Hemi Ram has been stuffed with a 705hp Hilborn-injected built crate motor, producing more than 740 lb-ft of untuned torque - wait until this street monster gets dyno-tuned and the torque numbers start cresting the 800 mark.

The SEMA show has always set the pace for the rest of the year, and this year's show will be no exception. Prepare yourself for a year full of new performance products, new body styles to go crazy on, as well as an influx of lifted trucks that will even rival the current lift trend.
