In 2003, Jeff and the KRZ Customs crew made quite a splash with their First Annual River Run, held at the Kings River, located just outside of Fresno, California. In 2004, that splash turned into a virtual tidal wave, as more than 3,500 people came out and set up camp along the riverbanks for three absolute crazy days of trucks, partying, and river fun.

Friday started off with RVs rolling in filled with club members and towing some of the cleanest rides on the West Coast. It was apparent that the buzz surrounding the run was more than just hype, as people were actually looking forward to a great California run, since, for some reason, they've become few and far between. Once everyone had claimed their spot along the shores, it was time to crack open the brews and get the night started.

As the sun began to rise on Saturday, trucks made their way to the showgrounds while virgin runners could be seen washing off a night of hazing in the river. Throughout the day, patches of shade became the gathering spots for clubs trying to escape what would inevitably turn out to be the sting of sunburned skin. The only thing that brought the crowds out into the heat was the infamous bikini contest. The previous year's version had people talking for weeks, and this year's would prove to be no different. Six California cuties got up on stage and showed off their assets for the sea of people that literally engulfed the entire stage.

Of course, the best part of a run always happens when the sun goes down and trucks are parked back at camp. When KRZ throws a run, it's going to be exactly that - crazy. The camp parties from Aftermath, Severed Ties, and Sinnerz saw everything from beer bongs to strippers, which were only briefly interrupted when the blue and red flashing lights of cop cars rolled through to join the party.

At a time when good runs are becoming scarce in California, it makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside when KRZ takes the time out of its busy schedule to throw not only a good show, but a great run. Flower Power
The '60s were infamous for free love, open minds, and flowers with supernatural powers. Stepping on stage at the KRZ bikini contest seems like stepping through a time warp - a very sexy and mostly naked time warp.
