The second installment of the Chevy Trucks-sponsored Sport Truck and Truckin' Nats was once again held at the Texas Ski Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas, which showcased everything and anything possible in the realm of extreme sports, skateboarding, MotoX exhibitions, head-to-head cable wakeboard competitions, and, of course, 130 badass custom trucks.
The two-day show seemed almost a blur of events, thanks to the multifaceted Ski Ranch. A huge dirt course offered riders table tops and big air sets to practice on. If you wanted to take a break from the sun, you simply grabbed a board and a handle and got whipped around the lake by the cable system. The pros showed us the proper way to bust huge aerial tricks for the crowds, which looked much better than our impersonation of a wet doll being dragged on a rope. Out in the front parking lot, the guys of LBZ set up ramps and showed the crowd some off-the-hook freestyle tricks on their dirt bikes.
A special thanks goes out to the members of Stressed Environment (www.stressedenvironment.com) for all of their hard work at the show. They worked from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., and some members drove from 400 miles away to be there.
