The Stylin' Concepts High & Low Truck Show series drew to a close on September 18. As one of the last truck shows in Independence, Ohio, for the year, the finale drew the local crowd of daily driven customs and some pretty killer show trucks to fulfill the desire for eye candy. Of course, the standard food, folks, and fun filled the Stylin' Concepts parking lot.
Stylin' had 125 show trucks fill its lot and pour out into adjoining areas. From classics to bling-bling machines, there was something for everybody to appreciate. An '05 Ford F-150 was chosen for Stylin's Power Demo. The 5.4L powerplant went through a few bolt-on modifications to demonstrate the installation. The truck received S&B's high-flow intake, a MagnaFlow exhaust, and a Hypertech programmer. A portable dyno was at the show, running custom trucks all day. The Power Demo truck showed a gain of 44 rear-wheel horsepower from the before and after pulls performed on the truck that day.
A warehouse sale was full of consumers, buying Stylin' Concepts products at an extremely discounted price. Thanks to the Shipping and Receiving Department, a scratch-and-dent sale on a broad range of parts attracted a gob of buyers ready to purchase the amazingly low-priced items. A DJ filled the air with tunes to keep everyone's truck-watching pace steady. Stylin' also provided a food vender that passed out an assortment of burgers and dogs to keep everyone's hunger at bay.
The American Thunder Jet's thrust-building semi put on an exhibition that wowed the crowed with a vulgar display of power. D.A. Motorsports showed up with Flammable, and even though this classic sled is a car, it's equipped with a sick set of flame-throwers. The '57 Plymouth shoots two 30-foot-high flame sticks. The weather was cooled by the occasional passing cloud cover and a cool breeze. All in all, it was a great day to come out, kick back, and check out all the slick rides.
