Special Awards Given: More than 150 trophies were awarded with the Best of Show Truck win going to Willy Martin and his radical Ford F-350 dualie. The truck was loaded with a radical, high-lift, chrome, and 'bagged suspension, suicide and vertical doors, plus custom stereo. Willy drove his radical ride from Miami to Panama City and home again. No Trailer Queens for him!
Fast Facts:
*Held at the Frank Brown Park, the event featured live music throughout the weekend with Mastermind, Element 55, and Ill Break doing their thing.
*The double-points IASCA stereo competition, spon-sored by Sommer Sound Car Audio and the DynoJet Mobile Dyno, attracted both the stereo and horse-power guys.
*The afterparty at Club La Vela, the largest nightclub in the USA, meant partying with thousands in the 11 diff-erent theme rooms, 48 bar stations, and seven dance floors, all the while enjoying exciting pool-side con-tests. Admission was half price with your Spring Fling armband.
Special Events: Air dancing with the high-flying Gauge S-10 attracted almost as big a crowd as the bikini contest, with 12 of the hottest gals in the Southeast competing for the big $1,500 cash prize. Sunday afternoon is the traditional auction where Vital Signs club members raise money for area charities.
