FAST FACTS:
The host club, Animated Attractions, has been together for the past 17 years. This is its 13th annual show. While this family-oriented event is always PG-rated during the day, Saturday night entertainment transitions to an R rating somewhere around 9 p.m. Big Mike Pilgreen kept the action fast-paced, with winners in a half dozen different categories pocketing quick cash.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Proud of your burping skills? The winner got a quick $50 for his 7-second auditory masterpiece. Good dancer? Eliminations brought it down to the final couple who took home $100 each. Ya say ya like to chug? Boys against the girls entertained the crowd, and the girls won! The trash-talkin' dudes had the crowd in stitches with their quick one-liners, and lots of Carolina cuties were shakin' it for the $850 cash prize in the bikini contest. The real challenge was the wet T-shirt contest in the brisk Carolina evening. Camping facilities within the fairgrounds made it easy to get home. On Sunday, the Battle of the Clubs began in earnest with the lightweight amp toss for the truly hung-over and the heavier beer-keg toss for those with faster recovery skills. Red Bull drinkers and river dancers were attracted to the high-intensity dodge-ball competition (won by Untamed Creations), and the big dudes from Rollin' Out Concepts established dominance in the tug-of-war. Slam Session's burnout competition continued the action with a few of the high-horsepower guys sending up smoke clouds that could be seen from the space shuttle. Switchmen in the hydraulic contest followed, sending their Caddys and Regals into the air, hoppin' and bashin' for cash.
