Two thousand dollars in cash prizes was handed out for Best of Show awards and the bikini contest. Also, the Best of Show winner received a 6-foot-tall trophy, and other top-placing trucks got 3-foot-tall trophies. The show also gives out an award to the ride with the most unique wheels at the show. So, if you have some clean, original shoes, you might end up with a trophy for them.

Fast Facts:
The '06 show marked the 15th anniversary, thrown by the Midnight Fantasies club. They have been in the scene for a while and have plenty of experience to put on a good event. Held at the beginning of September in the South, the Lake Front Tour has been plagued with weather problems from the hurricane season. The last event was no different as it rained for the majority of the show. However, the wet weather did not stop people from having a good time. Promoter Roger Miller insists that this show is a good family oriented event and is put on for everyone to have a good experience during the whole weekend.

Special Events:
There were several things going on, such as DJs playing tunes, a bikini contest, and a stage performance by local Camp Hollywood organization for kids. As funny as it may sound, not too many girls came forward to show some skin for $600 in cash prizes during the bikini contest. Saturday night held a sanctioned burn-out and drag session on the back driveway of the Civic Center grounds. The highlight of the show was the Clean Car Interiors Off-Road monster truck crush. There was a huge gathering of 4x4 trucks running over six beater cars. Some of the drivers got really crazy, whereas others spun tires while getting stuck during the event.

Going, Going, Gone! The driver of this Chevy C10 went full-throttle during the truck crush. He ended up over-shooting his mark and landed off-center. This resulted in the high-center-of-gravity truck falling on its side. By the expression on his face, we could tell that this was not planned. As soon as the truck came to a halt, the passenger unbuckled his seatbelt and jumped out. We figure that he must have had an accident in his pants after such a dramatic event.	Today's 4x4s feature IFS and that means drop-down brackets and crossmembers that actually lift these trucks. Installation is easy, but these parts also lower the frame clearance, which can get you stuck while trying to show off. This Ford had to be pulled out by a Bobcat to get the truck past the roof of a car.
