Special awards Given:
In addition to the huge collection of more than 130 trophies, the members of minimadness present a special award every year for their favorite vehicle. This year, the minimadness Pick and the $1,000 check went to Bobby Bowman for his primered black S-10, complete with distinctive door notch. In addition to that big cash award, the Best of Show Import Car, Best of Show Domestic Car, Best of Show mini Truck/SUV, and Best of Show Fullsize Truck/SUV also received a $500 check and a trophy.
Fast Facts :
Slamfest is always one of those shows where everyone heads home with a smile. This was the 15th anniversary of Slamfest and the members of minimadness used their experience and enthusiasm to ensure a trouble-free event. Drive-through judging got the job done quickly, allowing folks to start the party early. Lots of new trucks debut at this event, so there is always something exciting to see. Air-conditioned indoor and sunny outdoor display spaces meant you always had a choice. Big cash prizes to the winners kept the enthusiasm high.
Special Events :
The bikini contest paid $500, $300, and $200 to the winners. Each of the three class winners in the burnout competition received $120 in cash, a set of wheels and tires from Rent-A-Wheel, plus a trophy. Club Games are a Slamfest tradition and everybody plays.
