SPECIAL AWARDS GIVEN:
The Trophy Source and TR Manufacturing have outdone themselves every year, and 2006 proved no different. The class awards were flamed, cut plexiglass, and the specialty awards were polished billet aluminum with plexiglass flames and red LED lights. They are truly cool as hell, and anyone would be happy to hang them on the wall. Best of Show went to Trent and Tricia Vanarsdalen for their GMC Canyon, which was Sport Truck's Mar. '04 cover truck.
FAST FACTS:
This third annual event was held at the world famous Marion County Fairgrounds. These fairgrounds are like no other, with a huge concert stage that can be seen from every inch of the showgrounds. In the middle of the awards ceremony, Gauge's own Matt Petro gave Project S-10 Air Dancer one last final hop, leaving nothing left unharmed.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Slamology had so much entertainment that no one person can possibly see the event in its entirety. For the kid in all of us, and kids alike, there was a foam pit, a downhill slip-'n'-slide, and a Halo 2 game tournament. There were also live performances from rock bands, country groups, hip-hop artists, and the infamous DJ Kidd Kutt. There was also a Freestyle Motorcycle Team periodically performing throughout the day on Saturday. Pro Hopper and RNL Customs presented a hydraulic contest with cash payouts. The DB Drag triple-points contest and club games were a big hit, too. The day rounded off with a bikini contest, which had some of the hottest girls on the show scene.
