Unless you live under a rock and that rock doesn't have cable television, then you've heard of Lake Havasu. A decade ago, MTV made sure that even if you lived in Maryland you knew where and what the lake was about. The Arizona locale offers limitless sunshine, hot chicks in thongs, and plenty of entertainment on the water and clubs in town to get your party on. Sounds pretty good, right? Well, a few years ago, Truckin' magazine made the area even better by throwing a truck show during Spring Break. In 2007, the magazine joined forces with Sport Truck and Mini Truckin' magazines to continue the party, but this time under the Havoc show banner.

The change was for the better, and it resulted in a shorter, more enjoyable cruise from Southern California to Arizona that included hot wings and the hot babes working at Hooters and a stop at Ultra Wheel's facility. Once everyone got to Lake Havasu City, they had the rest of the evening to relax or party their asses off at the local eateries, clubs, and hotels. On Saturday, the usual show activities were present, including masses of killer rides to be judged and vendors offering product demos. One of the highlights had to be Chassis Tech blowing up airbags to demonstrate the strength of the company's own 'bags.

Saturday night went off with a release party for everyone who registered for the show to celebrate the launch of 8-Lug Diesel Truck magazine. American Eagle Wheels presented party people with food and a raffle for a new set of rims. Diesel Girls Clothing was also in the house, tossing out its own line of clothing, as well as the new 8-Lug apparel.

Sunday came all too quick and with a loud thud for those who stayed out too late the night before. The judging was wrapped up, and MBRP Exhaust threw down one of the best bikini contests we've seen in a long while. Show promoter Eddy Cebreco, Jr. did an excellent job rounding up the "talent" for the contest. Once the contest was over, we got down to the serious business of giving away more free schwag and awarding trophies to those who earned 'em. Eye Kandy Design, Meguiar's, and Can Do Specialties all kicked down free gear for participants. With more than 200 trucks and 30 vendors in the show, tons of awards were handed out.

The vibe at Havasu Havoc was good, and we are all eager for the next installment of this great event. Word around the office is that there are even better changes in the works for next year, so stay tuned to Sport Truck for upcoming information. We'd also like to thank Lake Havasu City, Jokers Wild Promotions, and The London Bridge Resort for all their help.
