Lay'd Out at the Park has quickly become the show to attend for truck owners on the East Coast. It has filled the void left by events, such as Showfest in Greenville, as a place for truck enthusiasts nationwide to gather with like-minded individuals somewhere near the middle of the country. Even though this event is scheduled for early April when the weather in Tennessee is usually mild, this year we were hit with a freak cold front with temperatures in the single digits. Truck enthusiasts who won't let something like a little snowstorm stop them filled the showfield anyway. Even the lines for the five-lane legal dragging were still packed with trucks. The city of Morristown has invited everyone back in 2008, as long as we keep controlling ourselves and respect the city. They look forward to many years of continued growth of the show. Jeff Dillard was going to call it quits on the show after this event so he could finish his truck, but after the success of the '07 event, he's contemplating holding the '08 event later in the month.
Not to be missed were the huge bikini contest and the world's largest legal drag session.
Twist of Cain Speed and Drag Shop, USACI, GB Customs, Drop'em Wear?, Hard Luck Customs, Domination the Video, and Gravity Werx
