Fast Facts
With the Texas weather giving everyone a bit of a break, by not living up to the name, the 5th Annual Meltdown was once again held at the Texas Ski Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. The showgrounds wrap around the edge of the water, where wake-boarders and waterskiers spend the day entertaining spectators with their water antics. Along with the built-in entertainment, there is plenty of sand on the shore to make it a day at the beach, but if that is not enough, promoter J.P. and Betty Perales continue to provide plenty of activities to go along with a whole lot of great cars and trucks.
The Texas heat certainly takes its toll on the bikini contest entries. | | The '07 Meltdown bikini contest turned out to be one of the sweetest events of the entire car and truck show. |
Special Events:
The Meltdown always has plenty of entertainment on hand: Games are mixed in, with some rock-solid music provided throughout the event by various bands, such as Tension Speak, Sintense, Sons of Sancho, and D-Railed. The Freeze Game, involving frozen underwear, is always a favorite on a hot Texas day, while Who Got a Ticket recognizes those who got a first-hand lesson in Texas Motor Vehicle Laws from the night before. The Tattoo Showoff brought out plenty of nice ink, making the judges have to really look things over, while the Meltdown Fear Factor only brought out a few fearless souls. The bikini contest reeled in some hotties and ended up becoming one of the best events at the show.

Jessica and Lisa proved the old saying that there is "always room for a pair of lovely ladies to accessorize any mini-truck." | There's nothing like being on the really cool Skool Bus, built by the crew at Outlaw Motor Sports. | The Texas Meltdown did not get its name for nothing, and sunburns can put a downer on weekend plans. Some people use hats or sunscreen to prevent too much sun, in Texas, while some people use a lifted 4x4 for protection. |
