The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association made its second annual visit to the famed Atlanta Raceway located 35 miles south of the heart of the South-Atlanta, Georgia. Some of the best cars and trucks from up and down the East Coast made the trek to take part in this great event. The old speedway is a great place to hold an event of this type.
Things really got rollin' on Saturday with the show-and-shine, vendor midway, swap meet, hot-rod seminars, car corral, model and pedal car show, and NASCAR rides with the Richard Petty driving school. One area of the garage was arranged especially for trucks. The highlight of the day was the track cruise, which took place late in the afternoon. All of the participants could do three laps around the speedway in their sport trucks. Everyone returned on Sunday for the award presentation, ending a great three-day-long event.

For a little over a hundred bucks, you could take a three-lap ride in a NASCAR stock car. Their were several automotive seminars, a model-building contest, a pedal car show, a street challenge autocross, a swap meet, a car corral, and an on-track cruise.
