Big Tom is getting ready to lay out his Chevy this winter.

Having a cool location is just one thing that sets some shows apart from others. It just so happens that the guys from Made 2 Envy have enough support from their hometown of Kingston, New York, to shut down an entire stretch of the main strip. Taking in the view of the Rondout Waterfront along the Hudson River, it's easy to see why so many people look forward to this midsummer show. With plenty to see and do, it's even clearer why the show keeps growing. Despite a little bit of rain on Saturday, club games, competitions, and a car-crush kept everyone busy during the day. At night, a legal drag session and drive-in movie brought everyone back to the waterfront.

This show truly has something for everyone and will continue to be one of the best shows in the Northeast. If you didn't make it to the '08 event, you will not want to miss this '09 installment. Check out www.envyfrenzy.com for more information.

Spectator Attendance: More than 5,000
Total Vehicle Entrants: 327

Awards Given: Over 60 classes plus 20 specialty awards including best paint, graphics, interior, etc., plus a $1,000 grand prize for Best of Show. All specialty awards were custom-made one-off trophies. Also, the winners of the Best of Show Car and Truck are featured on the following year's event T-shirt.

Special Events: Games, including a tire-toss, a chocolate milk chug, and a club tug-of-war, were played throughout the weekend. A car-crush, a high-low contest, a burn-out competition, a legal drag competition, and a drive-in movie were all held throughout the day and night. Proceeds were donated to local charities.
