The 2008 Sema Show - Sin City Spectacular

Chassis Tech brought this smoothed out S-10 to show off its Street Scraper line of bolt-on rear airbag frame clips. We dig the ultra-rare aftermarket stepside fiberglass bed, smoothie rims, suede paint, and flamed attitude.

Though some people were skeptical, Keith Sawyer of Nfamus Air Suspension managed to body-drop his customer's new Tundra over 26-inch wheels and finish it all in time for the show.

The funny story about Tim Ferguson's Dodge Dakota is that someone accidentally locked himself in the truck during the show. That wiseguy decided to make himself at home in the Dakota and closed the door as he sat in it. Since the door panels are shaved of the handle on the inside, the fool was stuck and had to chill until Tim could let him out. We bet they had words.

The Project Thunder Pak was built as a concept for what could be a factory-built sleeper. It has a supercharged 5.7L V-8 with nitrous oxide and puts out up to 625 hp.

Here's a new Dodge Ram with a Trxtreme package that you may soon see at dealerships. It comes with a 4-1/2-inch lift, 20s, and 37-inch-tall tires.

Now this is a car-hauler worthy of holding a custom vehicle!

Because James Hetfield is the lead singer of the band Metallica, we know he likes to rock. After seeing his new toy, we now know that he also likes to roll in this wildly custom truck. His '56 Ford F-100 was built at Blue Collar Customs, where it was stretched out to make it an extended-cab pickup. This thing was plain insane and a sight to behold.

What is it? A '66 Subaru 360 Micro Truck fitted with Reds hydraulics and a crazy paintjob.

The guy behind all of the great Havoc truck shows we put on each year owns this bitchin Toyota. Built in-house at Draggers Inc. in Placentia, California, by Terry Elms with help from Art Gomez and the GO-EZ crew, Eddie Macias, Mike Cotten, and Lou Santiago, it features a ridiculous sheetmetal interior with monitors everywhere, a righthand-drive conversion, and the requisite hammered stance.

We caught rap superstar, Nelly, hanging around the Ford booth and checking out the new Flex.

A study of ridiculousness in wheel-and-tire technology: On the left is a 42-inch wheel from Asanti. On the right is a 365/15R24 tire by Nexen. Remember that bike you had as a kid with the rubber tires wrapped around steel wheels with no air inside? Yeah, that's sort of how either of those combos is going to ride.

Things that scare us: two-toned mullet men getting tattoos at a truck show.

Things that are good and make us happy: Richard Petty and Chip Foose signing autographs.

We are in love with this Dodge. A couple of guys whose names we forget built it in a garage in Palmdale, California. Its got a Hemi crate engine, and the fenders, doors, and bedsides have been flared and stretched to tuck the massive rubber. It looks hard as hell and we can't wait for it to be finished so we can shoot it!

Our favorite Dodge fanatic, Mitch Rall of Ekstensive Metalworks, brought the rendering we printed in the February '09 issue to life and the real deal was way better. The color-matched wheels were the perfect complement to the new paintjob.

The Striker Ford F-150 and Super Duty were built with a Shelby-like design and may become avaliable in limited numbers.

Believe it or not, this is actually a '56 Peterbuilt truck that was chopped down by James Crosby.

Suzuki introduced its new Equator midsize pickup, and this one showcased it with some off-road styling.

Erik Harbour's Ram was first brought out at last year's show, and now he stuffed a set of 26s under it.
