Custom 1977 Chevrolet Longbed Pickup - Just Plain Low

The two-tone paint is comprised of a PPG basecoat clearcoat with White and Chatsworth Green. The two tones are separated by Maxwell Designs' chrome graphics that take the shape of '64 SS Chevy Impala trim.

Getting 800 hp to hook can be a challenge. Mickey Thompson's ET Street slicks fill the rear tubs and provide the bite needed to peel back pavement while launching the heavy hauler. Unlike the 6-inch rim up front, the 31-inch-tall slicks require 12 inches of rim width to get 16-1/2 inches of contact patch laid flat on the asphalt.

Billet Customs' 38-bar aluminum grille insert sets off the front end. Who said there was no performance in an SUV? A '91 Suburban bumper smoothes off the front clip.

Intro's Twisted Vista wheels fit the bill. The 6x15-inch rim uses a Kumho 215/55R15 for the front rolling stock.

New cushions were added and gray tweed was stretched over the stock bench frame and fitted to the door panels. Two sets of Infinity splits fill the doors and kick panels, and a custom sub' box fits two 10-inch subs with a Sony amp behind the bench seat.
