One glance of Kevin Cox’s ’99 Silverado will singe your eyebrows off. The flaming paintjob alone was reason enough for us to feature his truck, yet every aspect of Kevin’s Silverado is just as exciting. From the hidden graphics to the Sci-Fi interior, this truck is the complete package.

Remember those hidden picture games on the back of your cereal box? Stupid tennis rackets and boring baseball bats were never that rewarding to find. What a waste of precious time. Now, we’re not comparing Kevin’s truck to a cereal box, but if you look closely in the photos, you might find some very cool stuff in the paint. Like X-rated stuff. Yup. It’s got naked ladies. Look a little closer and you’ll find skulls. It also lets everybody know what’s under the hood with the letters S and C (get it? supercharged!). Kevin took his Silverado to Charles Armstrong, in Prescott, Arizona to have the PPG factory Red and Victory Red paint sprayed on, along with the airbrush magic. The body gets its good looks from the ’01 Tahoe front bumper and the Street Scene side view mirrors. The stock air dam was smoothed and painted with billet accents. The taillights, third brakelight, and tailgate handle were also smoothed. A set of super HiTech solid LED lights was added behind the tailgate and Sir Michaels roll pan. A Gaylord’s X-2000 Tonneau cover keeps the rearend looking sexy, while a set of Pontiac Grand Am door handles finishes it all off. It’s danged low: The 3-inch body drop was the first step. DJM upper and lower control arms along with the four-link from Elite Street Rods helped a few inches. And finally, the Firestone bags and Nitrogen get it spankin’ the speed bumps. Kevin uses 3/8-inch line with Parker valves. The coolest part about his lowering system is the switches for the bags. Kevin ripped the front door panels out of a Yukon with window controls for four doors. He wired up the front controls to operate his windows and the rear controls to operate the bags. That’s pretty cool. Just make sure your friend is aware of the control situation or you might end up dragging ass on the freeway going 80. And that could possibly suck.

Try to control your heart palpitations as you come across the super-sexy, fabulous, 20-inch Colorado Custom slotted Slater rims up front, and the dangerously good-looking 22-inch Slaters in the rear. Fatty Dunlop rubber keeps ’em safe and protected. The 5.3L V-8 was juiced up a tad thanks to the ATI Procharger. Kevin also added a Power Aid throttle spacer and a K&N air cleaner. The 3-inch custom-bent exhaust flows through an aluminized Flowmaster muffler, giving it just the right rumble.

The interior is more unique than the paint, as a matter of fact. The seats were stolen out of the same ’01 Yukon that donated the door panels. It has nice, soft, cushy leather. Yum. The slick-looking dash was smoothed and painted red to match the exterior. A billet antenna and a set of billet pedals were added along with the Caddy door handles for that bling- bling look. The custom console has a wild-ass skull growing out of it, and the steering wheel is B.A.D. Inferno (equally evil).

The gauges are super trick, out of an ’02 Escalade, and the windows were tinted 20 percent, so you’ll have a hard time seeing all this cool stuff from the outside of the truck. The brightwork includes Trenz stainless steel head- lights, cargo lights, and an AK control cover. The rear seat is actually from Fiero and has been custom-sewn and cut down to fit. That weird oozing thing in the back is actually the sound system. It has all sorts of Panasonic, Memphis, and Play-Station goodies.
