The interior is so ’69 Camaro with the orange and black houndstooth. You’ll have to wear a bib to keep your drool off the black suede.

The ugly heavy-duty eight-lug wheels were tossed, and the 20-inch American Racing six-lug rollers were bolted up. Dig the chubby 295s out back.

The functional ’70 Chevelle-style carbon-fiber hood looks damn good. The fatty 496 underneath makes it all the more exciting.

When Terry Delong of Pro Glass in Kendallville, Indiana, was deciding on what to do for his ’01 SEMA vehicle, it dawned on him that big muscle in a small, hot package was the only way to go. Defying the norm, the rational, the conventional, and the accepted, Terry and Pro Glass set out to create one of the coolest and fastest regular cab1/2-ton shortbed 8.1Ls ever made. Or maybe just the only one ever made.

Terry’s SEMA project started out as an ’01 Silver-ado 2500 Heavy Duty. In order to remedy his wild imagination (and win the hearts of sport truck junkies worldwide), Terry ordered a brand- new 1/2-ton short bed frame along with a take-off short bed. He then managed to transfer the drivetrain and body pieces to the new frame and bed. In order to keep the taller, more distinctive H-D grille, Pro Glass cut the bumper and made a new upper cap for a proper fit. The lower piece is from Truckmaster and the grille inserts are from Street Scene. Terry decided to use the Pro-Finish Custom Cold Air Intake and Functional carbon-fiber ’70 Chevelle-style cowl hood. A Pro-Finish carbon-fiber grille Bow Tie reading SS 496 was also stuck on, enhancing the truck’s coolness tenfold.

The tail end of the truck is just as cool as the front, sporting a Pro-Finish roll pan and shaved stake pockets. Street Scene side-view mirrors and PPG Global Hugger Orange paint with carbon-fiber graphics finish off the heavy-duty muscle-truck look. Trents Trick Upholstery painted the dash bezel and covered the stock seats in a combo of orange/black houndstooth and sticky black suede.
