Dip, Soak, Rinse, Clean
In the past, cleaning and restoring oxidized aluminum required use of a media blaster, grinder, or other destructive tool that could damage a valuable or irreplaceable alloy part. Alumina is an aluminum oxide remover and cleaning agent that contains no fluorides, acids, caustics, or solvents. It's biodegradable and safe to use with plastic, rubber, and PVC. Simply immerse the part in the Alumina solution and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then remove the part, rinse thoroughly with warm water, and all the oxidation, tarnish, and other deposits will be gone. Alumina is available in 1- and 5-gallon bottles, as well as 55-gallon drums.

Muscle Covers
Want that retro look on your late-model Chevy truck? Check out these valve covers from PLM. Modeled after the early musclecar era style, these fit '87-'98 small-block center bolt heads found on Silverados, Sierras, Suburbans, and Tahoes. The valve covers only use the two outside bolts for assembly, eliminating two bolts for a cleaner appearance. The covers feature internal cast-in baffles, are a little taller than stock, and may accommodate some roller rockers that are not shaft-mounted.

Inline Tuning
JET Performance Products has released two new performance modules for the '04-'07 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon with the 2.8L and 3.5L engines. These inline tuning devices can provide performance gains of as much as 18 horsepower.
