Katech Performance now has a brand-new, all-aluminum race motor. The Desert Attack 500 starts with a high-strength billet, Dart 6061-T6 aluminum block (exclusive to Katech); adds in linerless, NiCom-coated, 4.205-inch bores; and finishes with an all-forged rotating assembly. The 8.2-liter V-8 displaces 500 cubic inches to crank out more than 700 hp and 700 lb-ft torque on race fuel (pump gas versions are also available but won't make 700 hp). Katech also supplies optimum header configurations with each race engine, as well as installation assistance.

8. Rims For A Tough Truck
American Racing has announced the release of its new Tactic wheel. The Tactic features five-, six-, and eight-lug fitments with either chrome or matte-black finishes. The Tactic's sizes and offsets were engineered for trucks, with sizes in 16x8, 17x8, 18x8.5 and bolt circles of 5x4.5, 5x5, 5x150, 6x5.5, 6x135, 8x6.5, and 8x170.

edelbrock's new RPM Xtreme cylinder heads for GM lT1/lT4 engines offer a mix of as-cast port design and custom CNC porting. Blending the affordability of as-cast ports with custom CNC porting in the critical areas (combustion chambers, intake entry, exhaust exit and intake/exhaust bowls) yields a powerful cylinder head at a lower cost than typical, fully CNC'd heads. 10. Like A New Set Of Lungs
advanced flow engineering (afe), now has a new Stage 2 cold-air intake for the '08 ford Super Duty f-250/350/450/550 with the Power Stroke twinturbo diesel motor. The kit includes a high-flow, washable/reusable, 360-degree, Pro-5R afe filter; a one-piece molded airbox; and a brushed aluminum cover. This system also includes an integrated MAf sensor pad that is fine-tuned for maximum horsepower. In recent testing done by afe, the kit outflowed the factory intake by 68 percent and produced an additional 18 hp at 1,315 rpm and 37 lb-ft of torque at 1,315 rpm.
