Down HillWho: Thomas BrownWhere: Manchester, GeorgiaWhat: '96 Chevy S-10Thomas Brown has started the uphill, or in this case, downhill climb of customizing a truck. A Sir Michaels roll pan, billet grille insert, and tinted windows start the exterior modifications. A 4.3L Vortec V-6 sits under the cowl-induction hood, as well as a K&N air cleaner and Flowmaster exhaust. The suspension carries 1-inch drop springs, and the S-Dime rides on American Racing wheels. A sound system consisting of a Kenwood CD player, Rockford amp, and two 12-inch Pioneer subs completes this round.
Back From The BattleWho: Rob NicholasWhere: Bynnell, FloridaWhat: '95 Dodge DakotaRob Nicholas left his '95 Dakota unfinished while serving in the U.S. Army. He dropped it 4 inches in the front and 5 inches in the rear before leaving the country. After returning from Kuwait, Rob had the cash to buy the 18-inch Crystals from Edge Concepts he wanted. A pair of 10-inch MTX subwoofers, a Kenwood 345-watt amp, a JVC head unit, and Kenwood mids make up the system. With an Intimidator air filter already in place, Rob hopes to make some more engine upgrades. Future modifications include a roll pan, rear spoiler, and 'bag job.
Fresh Taco'Who: Allan LindoWhere: Bolingbrook, IllinoisWhat: '99 Toyota Tacoma extended-cab prerunnerAllan Lindo hopes to make it as a future Sport Truck feature. The road to Featureville began with shaved door handles, antenna, and tailgate handles. A roll pan was then molded on, APC euro taillights were installed, and an air ride setup was added. The Tacoma was taken down with a 3-inch body drop and coated in House of Kolor's Candy Purple with a dash of pearl flake. Body-color inserts and billet accessories accent the full salt-and-pepper tweed interior. To finish the first round, a Trenz billet grille and 17-inch Elite chrome rims were bolted on.
Blue StreakWho: Jason BrunnmeierWhere: Martinez, CaliforniaWhat: '95 Chevy Extended Cab SilveradoWith only 20,000 original miles, Jason Brunnmeier's truck has plenty of life left in its 5.7L V-8 engine. A Sir Michaels roll pan with hidden hitch has been molded on, while a hard fiberglass tonneau cover seals up the bed. An Alpine CD player and 10-inch MTX subwoofer cover the tunes, and the whole package rides on 17-inch Budnik Blades wrapped in BFGoodrich rubber.
