Who: Kris Longa
Where: South San Francisco, California
What: '00 GMC Sierra
Bent on getting his ride just right, Kris had the handles, third brake light, stake pockets, and taillights shaved off. Then, a roll pan was molded to the bed to smooth it off. The suspension is a KP Components six-link out back and 'bags at all four corners. The truck was flamed by Showtime Kustoms in House of Kolor Candy Tangerine. Herb Martinez pinstriped the flames for the finishing touch. The build sits on 20-inch Bonspeed wheels, wrapped by 35-series tires.
Who: Lon (Father) and Nic (Son) Burns
Where: Grafton, North Dakota
What: A pair of '05 GMCs
Like father like son. Lon's red ride was customized with a Chassis Tech 3/5 drop kit, a Volant intake, a bed rug, 20-inch Foose Lusso wheels, and Cooper Zeon 275/45R20 XST rubber. Nic's black hauler uses Belltech's 4/6 drop, 22-inch DIP Assail wheels, and Hankook 265/35R22 Ventus RH106 rubber. The father and son team also enhanced their rides with heated leather seats, roll pans, color-matched handles, billet grilles, and aluminum tonneau covers.

Where: Newburg, New York
What: '03 Dodge Dakota
Dan put on some ground effects to start his buildup. From there, the stock rollers were pulled off to be polished and chromed. Additional modifications include a soft tonneau, side skirts, a roll pan, and a mild drop kit. Dan wanted to squeeze a little more performance out of his R/T, so an aftermarket intake manifold, headers, and an after-cat exhaust were added to finish off his 360ci-powered hauler.

Where: Spring Hope, North Carolina
What: '94 Toyota
Carl started by shaving the Yodi of all the handles, mirrors, taillights, and bed gate. He molded in driprails over the side widows, a roll pan, and Caddy taillights, after which a license plate was molded into the bed. Yodi was shot in Powder Blue with white and Blue Ice pearls. The interior is completely custom, along with a phantom grille up front.

What: '01 Chevy Silverado
Mike built his Chevy using a Belltech 3/4 drop, Nitro-Drop shocks, 22-inch Echelon Goochi wheels, Toyo 305/40R22 Proxes, clear corners, a K&N cold-air intake system, an Eclipse touch-screen head unit, and JL speakers and amps. Mike wants to shave the Chevy's handles, taillights, and moldings. He added Caddy lights, a molded roll pan, and 'bags to the truck for a classy finish.

What: '00 Xtreme
This is the only photo Jose supplied that shows off the Sport Truck sticker. He's not likely to win a feature on his truck because we can't see it! Be careful when you shoot your Readers' Rides pictures. Remember it's your first impression. David's Xtreme was fitted with a Xenon front bumper with Street Scene's Speed Grille inserts. Also contributing to the Xtreme's style are Euro clear corners, American Products Company projector headlights, Hyper White bulbs, and HID foglights.
