To prove that Pro Street trucks never die or fade away, Kevin Birch of Hoagland, Indiana, sent us some snapshots of his fat-tired '36 Ford pickup. It has a 355ci small-block Chevy powerplant with a Littlefield Blower and two Edelbrock carburetors. Also, it has a Turbo 350 transmission connected to a narrowed Ford 9-inch rearend with a set of fat Hoosier Pro Street radial rubber surrounding a set of Center Line rims. The interior has been stitched with light-gray leather, while the exterior was sprayed with Bordeaux Red paint and accented with gray and black pinstriping on the fenders. This is what we call a classic Pro Street truck.

Kevin Monaghan of Mechanicsville, Virginia, is the proud owner of this '63 Ford F-250 4x4 that has documented 15,900 miles-a real time capsule, for sure. He is planning on starting a frame-off resto of this jewel in late summer, but in the meantime, he shot us these pics of what it looks like today. Even though this truck is all original, Kevin has used this truck to do things even modern trucks would have a problem with, like, in Kevin's words, "This truck has pulled my backhoe out of unstickable stuck, and it drives like brand-new." We would like to send our best on the restoration, and when you get it done, send us a few pics.
Flamed, Shaved, and Blacked Out on 22s
* Who: Patrick Wooton
* Where: Ventura County, California
* What: '02 Ford F-150 SuperCrew
Patrick Wooton writes to us from Ventura County, California, about his clean '02 Ford F-150 SuperCrew truck. The truck was 'bagged using Contitech 'bags in the front, with DJM upper and lower control arms. At the rear you will find a pair of Slam RS-72s, a KP Components four-link with cantilever, and the very first Totally Polished Watt's link ever built, with Rancho 9000 shocks all the way around. The paint is the OEM Dark Highland Green, with custom ghost flames sprayed by Iron Horse Custom Factory in Simi Valley, who also did all of the body shaving. All of the chrome has been re-plated in black nickel, including the billet grille, wheels, lugs, flamed rearview mirror and pedals, gas lid, rear tailgate oval, license plate frame, and not excluding the American Eagle Alloy wheels. The taillights have been smoked, and Patrick replaced the OEM front Ford Lightning with replica projection headlights and corners with black housings. Plans for this hauler include dialing in the suspension and replacing the engine with an HD supercharged version or upgrade the existing 5.4L with a supercharger. The interior is still stock, so after he is done with the suspension and exterior work, Patrick will start with some audio/video installations and a suede interior. Sounds great to us.
