Down with the S-series trucks
Mike Van's '85 Chevy S-10
Spring Hill, Florida

We Say: Mike originally picked up this used-to-be-shabby '85 four-cylinder S-10 to use as a commuter and work truck. After driving it awhile, Mike grew fond of it and thought he could give it some love. A few years later, the truck was finished and Mike ended up acquiring two more first-generation S-10s. Now that Mike has gained some experience with the '85, he is busy rebuilding a '93 he got from his son, and we're sure it will look good too.

What He Wins: To help Mike change the fluids on his small-block with less mess, we are giving him a Proform "no mess" funnel. Since this is a cool new tool we will be sending to each winner for a year, we thought we should still send him a piece of junk from our drawer. This time it is this alarm clock without a base. It seems Senior Editor Calin Head got pissed-off at the ticking sound it made and threw it on the ground, breaking the base. Ok, we're not sure if that's exactly how it went, but the clock is now incomplete and we hope that Mike can make some use of it.

Win Some Of Our Cool Swag!
Each month here in Sport Truck, the Homegrown Haulers winner will receive a pair of Mechanix Wear gloves, a Mother's detailing package, a Havoc DVD, and some awesome Sport Truck stickers. And to keep it real, we're also tossing in a piece of swag from our trusty old junk drawer! So just how do you win? It's easy. It all starts with you taking a killer photo(s) of your truck and sending that along with all of your information as well as a list of mods done to your truck. High-resolution digital photos are preferred and may improve your chances of winning. But really what it comes down to is if your truck is cool enough to pass our standards (OK, more like if we happen to get a bull's-eye on the dartboard!). So get going! Get out there with your digital cameras, put the settings on high-quality, and start shootin'. Email all of your stuff to kevin.aguilar@sorc.com, or send a CD with images via snail mail to: Sport Truck Magazine, Homegrown Haulers, 2400 East Katella Ave., Ste. 1100, Anaheim, CA 92806.

We Say: Some folks on the Dakota-Durango.com forums decided to bash one of our past Homegrown Haulers Winners and didn't have the guts to speak up to us. So, I signed up to the forum and challenged them to come forward with photos and info on their rides. Dwight happened to be one of only a few guys that was man enough to step up to the challenge.

Dear Santa, Help Me Get My Truck In Sport Truck!
Tony Comite's '07 Chevy Silverado LT

We Say: Originally, Tony sent us some unusable low-resolution photos taken from an old digital camera. He wanted us to print his truck so bad that he asked Santa to give him a new camera for Christmas. Well, Santa dropped him a brand-new Nikon that took the photo you see here.
