Black On Black
Gary Leach JR. '05 GMC Sierra
We Say: Gary has performed a few well-placed modifications to get his ride just the way he likes it. He still wants to install a custom grill on the murdered out GMC, he just can't decide which one to get. At some point a Pioneer double-DIN touch-screen DVD player with navigation will find its way into the dash. The truck is simple and clean and we hope the Mothers stuff will help Gary keep it that way for years to come.

71 & Still Cool
Bob Polaneczky '05 Dodge Ram
We Say: 71-year-old Bob tweaked his Ram to show all the young guns out there how it's done. He has done most of the work himself, and it doesn't look like he will be stopping anytime soon. Even Bob's wife is in the custom scene with her 4x4 2002 Quad Cab Ram that has a grille and some other styling cues. These two are showing us all that you are never too old to have a custom truck.

Protecting Our Freedom
Daniel Hunt '00 Chevy Silverado
Deployed To Iraq
We Say: Daniel bought the truck brand-new and has added a few things over the years. He is currently deployed to Iraq so it has kind of put a stop to his plans with the truck. He is trying to keep the truck simple looking but aggressive at the same time. Simple and aggressive, now that is a plan we can agree with.

Shelby Jordan '07 Ford F-150 Flareside
We Say: Shelby bought the truck new in the fall of '07. He told his wife, "I'm not going to fix this one up. I'm just gonna drive it." That didn't last long. It only took a few months for the modifications to start. It's funny because all of us here have muttered the same words to our significant others and did the same exact thing. Nothing like hearing, "I thought you were just going to drive this one."

Custom By Crunch
Jason Mcmillion '02 Toyota Tacoma
Leon, West Virginia
We Say: Brian told us a funny story on why he customized his truck. Here it is in his own words. "One foggy morning on my way to work, a wave of water came up over my hood. I had driven into four feet of backwater off the Kanawha River. I cleaned all mud and leaves out of the engine compartment and thought I was OK, but about three days later it started to smell like an old sweat sock in the cab. The carpet was wet and nasty underneath so I had to gut the interior and clean and dry the carpet. Once I put it back together I figured I might as well fix it up.
