Cherie started off with a simple 2-inch drop all the way around, but since that wasn't enough she had the door handles, tailgate, and taillights all shaved. To add a little flash to her game, the truck was painted candy-apple red with an American flag painted on the tailgate. And if that is not enough to catch your eye, then the sound system should be, with more than 750 watts running the array of Sony speakers all controlled by the Sony head unit. Watch out, guys, because Cherie knows her stuff.
Junkyard Dog
Who: Josh Nunn
Where: New Tazewell, Tennessee
What: '03 Chevy Silverado 1500
While walking around a junkyard in search of a truck, Josh stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. And after a few greenbacks changed hands, Josh was off and running with his new project. Once in the garage, he exchanged the old front clip with that of an Escalade. To add that high luster to his diamond, Josh installed a 4/6 DJM drop kit, a custom roll pan, and third-generation taillights. For the final touch of bling, a set of 22-inch Fiero wheels wrapped in 265/35R22 rubber round out the finished look Josh was going for. You know what they say: One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Good Vibrations
Who: Robert Lecuyer
Where: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
What: '02 Dodge Dakota RT
This is Robert's very first truck, and since purchasing this truck in September of 2003, he has spent the last few years building it to what it is today. The modifications made to the outside of this truck are subtle with the likes of a cowl-induction hood, Street Scene grille inserts, APC clear marker lights, second-generation taillights, an APC roll pan, factory chrome 17-inch wheels dressed with Falken tires, and a Ground Force 2-inch lowering kit. What you don't see in the picture is the K&N air intake, Hypertech III programmer with a Gibson after-cat dual exhaust to help with the breathing of this beast. Once inside, make sure you have your ear protectors handy, because Robert has crammed 1,500 watts of stereo power into the cab of this truck. Robert wants to hit more shows in the U.S. this upcoming show season with a few added mods to put a hurtin' on the competition, eh.

Who: Clay Powell
Where: Liberty, Missouri
What: '94 Ford Ranger
Clay Powell has been working on his truck since he was 15, and in four years since then he has transformed this truck into an awesome show winner. With the help of his grandfather and a few friends, Clay tells us he has shaved the door handles, emblems, front bumper, tailgate, and taillights. As far as all the other stuff on the truck, there is too much to list here, but companies such as Stylin' Concepts, Firestone, Street Scene, Scosche Industries, and Clarion all have parts on the truck. At age 19 and as a member of IV Ever Low, we can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
Hemi Hounder
Who: Nick Dockter
Where: Bakersfield, California
What: '04 Chevy Silverado LS
Nick wanted to show all those Hemi guys that Chevys are no joke, so he went out and purchased a brand-new '04 with a 5.3L engine, including 3.73 gears with a locker. To get as much power as possible-within the California smog laws, of course-Nick Installed an AIRAID intake tube, a K&N filter, and a Flowmaster after-cat exhaust, and he had the PCM custom programmed to adjust to the new modifications and added a few changes electronically. Now with the truck running like a champ, it was time for it to look the part, so vinyl stripes on the hood were added, as well as a clear third brake light and parking lights. Bulbs have been either replaced by Hyperwhite lights or LEDs. The door handles have gotten replaced by Escalade handles, and the front bumper and tailgate handle have been painted to match. The grille was cut out and replaced with a Carriage Works black billet grille. The Bow Tie and antenna were replaced with billet. The interior mods include U.S. speedo white-face gauges with platinum lens kit. Nick plans on installing an STS Turbo in the near future. All we have to say is you might want to think about upgrading your brakes to help control all that power.
Looking Down
Who: D.J. Williams
Where: Troy, Alabama
What: '93 Chevy C1500
After losing his father in 1996, D.J.'s siblings thought it would be best if he had their father's truck. And since he took possession of the truck, he has changed the look a few times to keep it updated. He wanted the truck to look clean as possible, so just about everything was shaved, including the antenna, door handles, tailgate handle, ZR1 roll pan, and the complete tailgate, making a completely smooth rear end. He finished it off with the original quasar-blue PPG paint, but D.J. couldn't leave it solid for very long, so he had to go back and add some chromallusion rally stripes and some pearl-blue ghost flames on the doors and fenders. A set of 20-inch DOA wheels and tires finish off the exterior. D.J. says future modifications to complete the truck will be installing airbags, a tonneau cover, a carpeted bed, and redo the interior. After looking at this truck, we would have to say that his dad would be really proud.
