One of the regulars in Sport Truck is the Pinup section at the back of the magazine. For this retro issue, we decided to put together this expanded section with a couple of actual pinup girls. The models we found are actually a part of the rockabilly scene and dress like the girls from old-school pinup mags. Going along with this theme, we decided to shoot at Coast Airbrush in Anaheim, California. This shop is dedicated to all types of painted artwork and sells everything needed to attempt your own masterpiece. How did you become a pinup model?
It happened accidentally; I'm a pinup artist and joined a modeling site, so I could get better photos of the gals I was drawing. Then, I started to get requests from photographers to shoot me. I thought, hey, why not? It took off from there.

How did you get your pinup name?
It was a childhood nickname and just seemed to fit.

How do you spend your free time?
I guess in my free time I hang out with my husband or go to the local bar with my great friend, Ivy.

What do you drive?
I drive a silver '05 Toyota Corolla. It gets awesome gas mileage for all the crazy driving I do.

What is the vehicle of your dreams?
For modern cars, I like the Audi A5 or a BMw in black, of course. For a vintage car, I'd love to have an older Cadillac deVille.

How did you become a pinup model?
I grew up watching classic films, collecting vintage clothing, and looking up to idols like Marilyn Monroe, Betty Page, and Lucille Ball, which all led to my fascination with traditional pinup art.

How did you get your pinup name?
My pinup name came from my love of good old blue eyes, Frank Sinatra.

How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time watching old movies, designing costumes, hunting for vintage treasures at flea markets, camping and hiking, writing, reading, and spending as much time as I can with my friends and family.

What do you drive?
A new Volkswagen Beetle. Most modern cars are not very appealing to me, but I sure adore my buggy.

What is the vehicle of your dreams?
I know it's a bit of a standard dream car, but I fell in love with the good old '57 Chevy Bel Air when I was a kid, and I've always wanted one in baby pink and white. Honestly, any hunk o' metal pre-1960 gives me the chills. I am one to get all wide-eyed and mesmerized at hot rod shows.

How did you become a pinup model?
I got my start through pageants and modeling for fashion shows. Then, I picked up on acting and got an interest in becoming a makeup artist. while working for many different companies and perfecting my makeup skills, I landed in front of the camera modeling.

How did you get your pinup name?
I asked my friends their opinion on it. Being typical guys, they said my initials should be double d, and so we came up with deLux as my new last name.

How do you spend your free time?
It seems that all my free time is spent on the computer Myspacing and returning e-mails to all my fans.

What do you drive?
An '06 Mini Cooper, and I love it because it's dayna-sized.

What is the vehicle of your dreams?
Growing up in a garage has made me want a '34 Ford coupe with its big running boards and rarity.

I usually lean toward brunettes, but besides fitting into my criteria, Cora Skinner has to be one of the most beautiful models we have been able to photograph. Not only does she look good in our magazine, but she is completely gorgeous in person. I don't really know how we managed to get her to come to several of our shoots, but I'm glad she came.

This one for me was a slam dunk. I mean, unless you've been living under a rock there's now way you could not have seen this chick over the past year. We hyped out her life-size poster for a full four months and even put a video of her photo shoot up on our website. But, aside from all the hype, she is smokin' hot.

This month's column was so easy to write, and it's not because I'm a fantastic author. We all know that's just not true. Nonetheless, it only took me 1.5 seconds-yes, I counted-to come up with the idea for this column and another 3 minutes to jot it down. Hell, I knew what I'd be writing about before I even started working on this issue of Sport Truck. This column is dedicated solely to that delightful image of all that is right with the female species, parked right in the middle of this page. Wanna know why?

The reason I'm absolutely giddy about this woman isn't because I'm hooking up with her, but because she represents what I believe to be a first for any custom truck magazine. Firsts shouldn't really matter to you guys, except when they mean you are scoring something free and cool. Well, you are going to score something free and cool, thanks to the hard work of the staff of your favorite truck mag.

The catch is that you won't get the full payoff for three months. You'll have to buy the next three issues of Sport Truck for that. Now, I know what you're thinking; what a lame-ass idea and how dare we make you wait for your free stuff. Well, before you start sending angry e-mails my way, listen up. There is a payoff for grabbing those special issues of ST. If you do, not only will you find a massive poster in each issue, dedicated to hot trucks and hot women, but on the back side of each of those posters is a portion of the image on this page. Collect all four posters, and when you put them together, you've got yourself a 6-foot-tall, life-size poster of the gorgeous hottie on this page, Lana Kinnear.

Think about it. Think about slaving beneath your truck on a hot summer night and having Lana staring back at you from the wall of your garage. How is that for inspiration? Home Project: Make Your Own Lana K. Poster!

1. Luckily for you, since you already have this issue in your hot little hands, you're a quarter of the way done! Now all you have to do is have a little patience and wait out the next few weeks. That's when not only a new issue of Sport Truck will be out but also the next piece of the "Lana K. Puzzle." Buy the mag, repeat Step One three times, and move on to Step Two.

2. Looks like your patience paid off, Grasshopper! Now the fun begins-as if this wasn't fun already. We know you're smart enough to have pulled the posters out of each issue at the perforations we made for your convenience, and we're sure by now you have all four amazing Sport Truck Collectable posters hanging on your walls. Time to peel 'em down and get to Step Three.

3. Here's where the Martha Stewart in you comes in handy. Bust out the clear cellophane tape stashed in your desk drawer. Starting with the feet, overlap each poster by 1/4 inch or so until the image of Lana is lined up perfectly. Tape each seam securely and let the fun begin.

4. This might be the hardest step of them all, but it does have the biggest payoff! You'll have to convince your wife/girlfriend/mom/grandma/aunt that this poster will somehow enrich their lives and not just look amazing hanging on your wall. Maybe remind them of how pretty they are, or get some flowers or something. You're on your own.
