19. There are two different coils that are used in the HEI setup. The coil on the right performs up to 6,000 rpm. The coil on the left has a much greater rpm range. With an optional module, its performance is good up to almost 9,000 rpm. The high-output coil is marked with red paint on the lead restraints. Keep in mind that all components are designed to work in unison. If you're building a tow rig that will never break 5,800 rpm, this is not the coil for you. View Related Article
