4a.The Frontier has a few of these pull-up-style clips holding the top of the shell under the hood. The Titan has two 13mm bolts that are located inside at the bottom that have to be removed.

5a.With that done, the shells can be removed. The Frontier will require the removal of the Nissan emblem that is just snapped into the grille; pushing the tabs in will get it off. Since we're installing a full grille in the Titan, these little brackets have to be bolted to the core support area. These will become the mounting points for the grille and provide adjustment to line everything up.

6a.The Frontier's inserts are held on with a bunch of screws and these backing plates. They run through the factory mesh, which is why the instructions say it can be done on the truck - again, if your hands fit. The Titan uses one such mount just in the center through a factory brace; the rest will be mounted to the brackets.

7a.Once you have the Frontier's inserts in, just turn the screws to lock the grille in place. Obviously, make sure all the bars line up before tightening. The Titan grille has a few tabs welded to it, which are bolted to the brackets installed earlier but not tightened all the way.

8.The Frontier grille shell can now be snapped back in the truck, and you're done. On the Titan, close the hood slowly and check for clearances. Make sure the hood does not contact the grille before you tighten it in place. As you can see by the initial images, the grilles really help make these trucks look sweet, and don't require a lot of wrenching experience. Now you know why a billet grille is pretty much the standard when it comes to modified trucks.
