 19.With one bushing in place,...  19.With one bushing in place, slide in the cross-shaft, last bushing, washers, and nuts. Don't forget the Loctite.  20.With the upper arms assembled...  20.With the upper arms assembled and ready, they were placed in position and bolted down.  21.The new offset spindle...  21.The new offset spindle was put on the ball joints, and the nuts and spacers were installed. The hub assembly was put back together, and the self-locking axle nut was installed to spec.  22.Getting the ball joint...  22.Getting the ball joint in the pitman arm to stop turning while the nut was being tightened was done with a bit of tension placed on the top of the ball joint.  23.The brakes and antisway...  23.The brakes and antisway bar were put back together, leaving the taller suspension dropped down much farther than the stock suspension. The new shock was installed using the stock mounting area, but a longer shock with different valving was needed to complete the suspension. As you can see, the passenger side droops much farther down the stock components - 6-1/2 inches to be exact.  24.The straight axle with...  24.The straight axle with no steering to contend with was way easier to lift than the front. The U-bolts and rear shocks were removed, and 4 inches of ride height were added to the back to level the truck out. With the U-bolts removed from one side, the block goes in between the axle and spring to provide the extra lift.  25.Longer U-bolts are provided...  25.Longer U-bolts are provided to accommodate the use of the 4-inch block. After they're run for about 500 miles, it's a good idea to check and make sure they're still tight.  26.Again, new longer shocks...  26.Again, new longer shocks are used with some off-road valving to accommodate the extra 4 inches of height.  27.Last, but not least, the...  27.Last, but not least, the new rolling stock is put on the truck.
