Gm Truck And Suv Gen Iii Ls1 V8 Engine Removal And Reinstall Air Hammer
|
6.If the radiator nut is locked in place, an air hammer with a chisel attachment can be used to rattle the nut loose. Place the chisel on the back edge of one of the nut faces and push the nut loose. With the fan removal complete, you should now drain the coolant. To do this, pull the drain tube out of its holder on the side of the radiator (usually located on the lower driver-side area of the radiator) and position it pointing down at a bin to collect the drained coolant. Turn the drain petcock to start the flow of coolant. Don't reuse this coolant and dispose of it properly. Plan on adding fresh DexCool (some mix with water, others run it 100 percent - you decide) when the engine is reinstalled. View Related Article
