Gm Truck And Suv Gen Iii Ls1 V8 Engine Removal And Reinstall Coolant Hose
|
7.To pull the coolant hoses off the engine, use pliers to compress the spring clamp holding the upper radiator hose on the engine. If possible, compress the clip until it detents open (see inset) to make reinstallation a snap (literally). These hose clamps are staked to the hose, so they won't slide back on the hose. Now, lift the hose to drain the coolant in the hose into the radiator. Use pliers to compress the clips on the lower radiator hose and the two heater hoses and remove. A radiator hook tool might have to be used to pry between the rubber hose and metal fittings to get the hoses loose. View Related Article
