Here you can see two runs on the dyno chart. We ran the powerplant on a Barry Grant and a Holly carb. The Barry Grant Race Demon was set up at about 775 cfm and it pulled power 'til we shut down the run at 6,800 rpm. We stopped the run because we were just starting to break the engine in. We then bolted the Holly 1,000-cfm carb to the intake and ran the engine this time up to 7,200 rpm. The engine made 423 lb-ft of torque and 572 hp. As you can see, the Demon carb made the same power all the way through its pull. This would indicate that we were as close to 100 percent efficiency in the intake runner as could be.
