WAX IT
One thing most people are not aware of is the delicacy of the paint when it rolls off the dealer's lot. While the truck might look stunning and new when you pick it up, there is no protection on the paint. Obviously, we don't want to seal in any surface contaminants with the wax, so we broke out the clay bar first. A good coat of Adam's Butter Wax was used for our first line of protection. Adam's Butter Wax is formulated with a special blend of polymers, resins, and natural carnauba.

COVER IT
Last thing to keep the truck new is a custom-fit cover from Covercraft. We called the company, gave the year, make, and model, and where our truck will be stored (outside). The tech on the phone informed us that the company's Noah fabric will be exactly what we needed. The cover fit perfectly, slipping over the mirrors like a glove, and it features two grommets that give you a way to lock it to the truck, if so desired.

Covercraft constructed this cover out of Noah fabric. Noah barrier fabric is highly water resistant, yet it breathes to allow any trapped moisture, seam seepage, or condensation to easily evaporate.
