Teardown
Here we go. Obviously, before we can install the new tube, we have to get the stock stuff off, but here is what you should see under your hood-lots of plastic.
 1. Per the instructions, we removed the three 10mm bolts holding the throttle-body cover on so we could access the hose clamp holding the tube to the throttle body, as well as the IAC and crankcase breather tubes. | 2. There is a hose clamp on the air filter side that also has to be loosened before the inlet tube can come off. | 3. The MAF sensor is hiding inside this housing that is attached to the air filter assembly, so unclasp the latch to separate the filter and MAF components. Grab a flat-head screwdriver to unlock the three clips holding in the MAF. |
 4. Once the clips are free, you will have just enough room to get your hand inside to unplug the MAF. The wiring is pretty short and doesn't provide a lot of room, but be patient and take your time because the MAF will be reused on the new tube and you really don't want to damage it. | 5. The air filter side of the housing is held in by these two tabs that pop into little grommets on the fenderwell. Give it a good upward tug to free it, then pull it away from the fender. | 6. The IAC tube is constructed of a hard plastic tube that won't line up with the Fram unit, so the tube and check valve must come off to install the provided rubber hose. |
