2. We hooked up the tranny jack and removed all the bellhousing bolts, before we unbolted the crossmember. In these trucks, the crossmember is usually hot-riveted to the frame, necessitating the use of a grinder or a torch to get them out. Luckily, someone has already done that on this truck, so all we needed to do was remove the hardware and slide it back with the persuasion of a hammer. View Related Article
