2005 Ford F150 Shock Assembly
|
With the lower coil seat in place, dab two drops of thread-locking compound onto the threads of shock shaft, and screw it into the top of the aluminum coil seat retainer. Now the coilover assembly can be put back together like the factory unit came apart.Just to be safe, make sure to double-nut the center stem bolt and torque to 14 to 16 lb-ft. Important note: Do not use an air impact to install the nuts in this next step. If you overtighten the nuts, it will strip the threads. Once you have double-nutted the assembly, you can throw it back into vehicle and bolt it up with the factory hardware. View Related Article
