1b. On HD trucks like Street Beat's, the stock bumper mounts must be modified to bolt onto the new Escalade bumper. The Escalade part's mounting holes are located higher up than the HD bumper, so the framehorns must be trimmed, and the frame mounts must have threaded spacers added. The stock mounts were torched off the frame, and the new spacers were welded directly to them Note, these spacers are not included in the kit.

2. On the top is a modified side bumper support, which has been shortened to match up with the Escalade bumper. The tubing was cut, and a new mounting tab was MIG-welded in place. This is a job that requires careful alignment of the bumper and front fenders, so mocking up the sheetmetal before you paint it is recommended.

1. The Street Beat kit includes new wiring adapters that enable you to plug the Escalade lights right into the Chevy harness. The headlights are secured with a pin to make removing them easy.

2. The Escalade grille is cool, but the shop will be adding a T-Rex Billet insert to make it look even better. The insert was fastened from the rear of the grille using backing plates, after the original grille center was cut out (inset).

3a. Before the grille was installed, the stock hood latch was ditched in favor of an OEM Escalade latch

This is necessary in order for the latch to engage with the Escalade hood, which has a lower profile and lower latch point. Although not absolutely necessary to do during the mock-up phase, the shroud was popped over the latch using the factory plastic clips.
