What's In The Box?
The LeBra Ultra Lift tonneau cover comes with everything you would need to install it, except for a tape measure and a few wrenches. The framework is constructed from extruded aluminum rails that provide plenty of strength without being heavy. The cover itself is a heavy-weight vinyl that has a plastic strip sewn around the perimeter. Instead of using unsightly snaps, the plastic strip will index in a slot of the frame and hold it in place netting a sturdy hold. You also get a bag of hardware, which includes two gas struts, along with everything else needed to install the tonneau.
The Install 1. To start the installation, I cleaned the top of the bed, then the side rails and the headboard piece were carefully set on the bed. | 2. The framework features a molded plastic piece that creates the corners. There are four nut and bolt sets in the hardware package. The nuts slide into a slot in the corner piece. | 3. Then, the corners slip into the ends of the extruded rails. |
 4. The Allen bolt and provided wrench are used to lock everything together. | 5. Lebra makes these simple yet very effective clamps to hold the framework to the bed. These are positioned toward the front of the bed, near the hinge point on the frame. | 6. The upper mount for the gas strut is preinstalled on the frame, but the lower mount needs to be clamped to the bed rail. The lower mount installs 12 inches away from the upper mount toward the front of the truck. |
 7. There are two simple handles that install on preinstalled tabs on the frame. These will hold the tonneau closed when turned toward the center of the bed. | 8. The company provides an assortment of spacers, so if you have a spray-in bedliner or something else that would change the handle relationship, you can still install them properly. Ours didn't need any spacers-lucky us. | |
