 8. Before the truck left, it was given a thorough inspection by Hector Loucel, a quality assurance manager from the Maaco corporate offices. Here, Hector checks the level of texture using the industry-standard ACT texture panels. Hector also checked the color for accuracy, the film build for uniformity, and the entire vehicle for proper coverage. This type of inspection is done across the country on a regular basis to ensure that customers continue to get the best possible value for the money, no matter what location was chosen to provide the work. | 9. This particular shot shows Hector using the Maaco Clarity Index card to determine the level of gloss on the roof of the truck. Since Maaco Enterprises implemented its Certified Center Program, all of the paintjobs are expected to meet or exceed minimum standards in every aspect, including bodywork, sanding, masking, painting, and detailing. | 10. Once the truck was done, we paid for the job and drove to the shop to reassemble ol' yeller. We used Eastwood's Extreme Chassis Black to paint the wheelwells, firewall, and core support. We also installed all-new rubbers and some other stuff we got from LMC, but we'll cover that next month. |

The Final Word
Here is the truck after we installed everything. It looks great, and the paint is nice and slick. The job was well within our budget, and the results are far beyond what was expected. If you are interested in having Maaco paint your ride, go to the company's website and find the location nearest you. We will be driving this truck to some shows, so hopefully you can come and see the paint in person. We think it might just change your thoughts about having a national chain paint your ride.It did for us.
