The Install
1a. My truck is set up with two valves for each airbag so that I can control them individually. The negative wires were grounded to the frame; the positive current comes from the AVS switch box via speaker wire. Copper wires are used for the down valves, while silver ones will be connected to the up valves. Each set was labeled per corner and fed to the controller's relay box I placed under the center console.

1b. On the bottom of the relay box is a label that indicates which terminal is to be used for each wire

2. I placed one wire at a time in the box and flipped the box over each time to secure the wire in place. To do so, I used a small flat-blade screwdriver to close the wire clamp in the terminal. After I wired each valve, I grounded a negative wire for the box and ran a positive to the battery.

3a. Since the Spal receiver for my door-poppers is mounted under the dash, I unbolted this panel to access it

3b. The unit has several channels, so I tapped into the channel five blue wire to control up and the channel six white/black wire for the down function. I used these channels because it takes the push of two buttons in order to fire them off. In short, it will be harder to air out the truck by accident.

4. Once the wires were connected to the Spal receiver, I ran them to the controller's relay box. Then, I mounted the receiver back under the dash and reattached the lower panel.

5. I mounted the relay box...

5. I mounted the relay box to the cab floor and reinstalled the center console. The wire to the switchbox was run to exit behind the shifter.

6. One of the most important features on this controller is the lock. By inserting the key and turning it to the off position, power is instantly cut off to all the switches. This function comes in handy to prevent fools from messing with or possibly even stealing your custom ride.
The Final Word
The AVS switch box not only looks nice, it also works perfectly. Because of its shape and weight, the controller sits comfortably in my lap while I'm driving. The best feature has to be the option to raise and lower my truck by remote. Now I can raise and lower my truck with the doors closed and avoid damaging them on pesky curbs.
