3. I sprayed a little bit of the cleaner directly onto the stain and agitated it with a brush in a back and forth motion (not in circles). Then, I blotted the area dry with a clean towel to lift the stain out. One of the biggest mistakes people make when cleaning their carpet is they use too much cleaner and saturate the carpet.
