4.The shock extension bolts to the factory shock mount with the provided hardware. The black chunk of metal you see has a threaded hole that matches up to a hole already in the factory shock mount. Once the bolt is installed it will keep the extension from swinging out. Once the bolts were tight, Terry hooked up the shock with the factory hardware. That takes care of the lowering job other than a trip to the alignment shop. View Related Article
