New for 2008, Texas Motor Sports Expo was held April 11-13, 2008 in Beaumont, Texas and was hosted by brainchild, Mark Fehrle. Since many shows today are catered to specific types of vehicles, Mark decided to do something a little different and put together an automotive expo, a show that brings together many different styles of vehicles. Mark also wanted to host a show that was family friendly. He managed to do both and provide Texas with another great show.
Held at the spacious Ford Pavilion, Texas Motor Sports Expo had a little of everything for everyone. With over 300 vehicles in attendance, this show had everything from skied 4x4's to slammed minis as well as classic and hot rods. There were even boat and semi truck classes. Whatever your personal tastes may be this show could accommodate you. Mark, with the help of friends and family, had things very well organized. In true "expo" style, Mark segregated the vehicle styles into sections, by a luxury that a large venue can provide.
If the vast amount of rides weren't enough for you then a stroll through vendor alley could keep you entertained. With major sponsors on the bill, spectators were able to see the latest products from Ford as well as the many other vendors on hand showing off their latest products. Here you could find car stereo products, wheels, the latest in automotive cleaning products or grab yourself a quick bite to eat. And that's what spectators did, as this section of the show was crowded all weekend. This was a very popular area.
One of the major themes for Texas Motor Sports Expo was a clean, family-friends atmosphere. Many shows today are not exactly "kid friendly," so Mark decided to host an event that you could bring your kids to. The idea was simple - to make a fun, enjoyable weekend out of the show along side your family. Many took full advantage as entire families could be found cleaning rides or strolling the grounds. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back, perfect for families.
If you're looking to add another show to your "must attend" list next year, then make sure to check out Texas Motor Sports Expo. Quality vehicles and a quality venue make this show a definite up and coming event to look forward to. Make sure you check out the website or contact Mark or Ashley using the information provided.
